Sisi: Egypt Affirms Rejection of Foreign Interference in Iraq's Affairs

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi said that the Baghdad Conference for Cooperation and Partnership in Jordan has an important political sign of  providing all means of support to Iraq in addition to moving to a new stage of partnership through strengthening work within the frameworks of bilateral or multilateral cooperation such as the tripartite cooperation mechanism among Egypt, Iraq, Jordan and others.

President Sisi added, in his speech at the opening session of the Baghdad Conference for Cooperation and Partnership in Jordan: "Our meeting today represents an opportunity to exchange views and explore new horizons for coordination and cooperation between our country and Iraq.

He stressed that Egypt rejects any foreign interference in the affairs of Iraq, pointing out to the importance of continuing joint efforts to raise the capabilities of the Iraqi state institutions in various fields, as this is the best way to preserve the security and sovereignty of this ancient country, which will have an impact on the security of other countries in the region.

The president noted: "We have participated, with Iraq and Jordan, in launching the tripartite cooperation mechanism between the three countries, as one of the frameworks for joint Arab action aimed at achieving integration in a way that serves the interests of our brotherly peoples, in light of the historical and fraternal relations and the common goals".

"In this regard, I reaffirm our intention to move forward towards the implementation of the joint projects currently being studied within the framework of the mechanism, in a way that contributes to achieving the aspired development of our peoples".

Addressing the Iraqi People, President Sisi said: "I am fully confident in your ability to move towards a more prosperous future".
