On Tuesday, President Abdel Fattah El Sisi held a meeting with the Armed Forces Engineering Authority. He was briefed on the latest developments of the construction and engineering position of a number of the authority's projects around the country, according to Presidency Official Spokesman Bassam Radi.
In a statement, Radi stated that the executive position of a number of facilities in the New Administrative Capital (NAC) was presented during the meeting. The meeting discussed the designs of the House of Representatives hall, as well as the engineering designs of the Islamic Cultural Centre.
The meeting also tackled the facilities attached to the centre, including the building of the Misr Mosque and its halls such as the Dar Al-Quran Hall. Sisi was also briefed on the executive position of the Diplomatic District, which includes the headquarters of embassies and international organizations accredited in Cairo.
During the meeting, the executive position of the International Motor City on the Cairo-Ain Sokhna road was also presented. Sisi directed the authority to strengthen the existing efforts to complete the establishment of the city in an integrated manner that includes all the necessary services.
The construction position of the city of Al Galala was discussed. The meeting also reviewed the plan to establish a commercial market in the 10th district of Nasr City. In addition, Sisi also discussed ways to exploit the lands surrounding Al Asmarat District and how to develop these areas and upgrade the services provided to their residents.
During the meeting, the progress of the work of the group of roads and axes network in eastern Cairo was reviewed. The president also followed the efforts being exerted to use both sides of the Jehan Al-Sadat axis.
The head of state also discussed the executive position of the development of the Dabaa road, with a length of 260 km. He stressed the importance of providing it with all the necessary services along the road.
