President Abdel Fattah El Sisi received Wednesday Lieutenant-General Hamad Mohamed Thani Al Rumaithi, Chief of Staff of the UAE Armed Forces, according to Presidency Spokesperson Bassam Rady.
Other officials from both sides attended the meeting such as Lieutenant-General Mohamed Zaki, Minister of Defense and Military Production, as well as Mariam Al Kaabi, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates in Cairo.
The spokesman added that the President asked to convey his greetings to his brother, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, stressing over the fateful relations between Egypt and the Emirates, and the pillars they represent for the stability of the Middle East region and the entire Arab world.
On his part; The Chief of Staff of the UAE Armed Forces expressed his honor to meet Sisi, conveying to him the greetings and appreciation of his brother, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed.
He affirmed the depth of the historical relations that bring together the two countries and the two brotherly peoples, and the UAE's keenness to strengthen the frameworks of strategic cooperation between the two countries at various levels.
The two sides agreed during the meeting to continue strengthening coordination and regular consultation between Egypt and the UAE with regard to military and security cooperation, in complementarity and harmony with the complex bilateral relations between the two countries in all fields and levels, in a way that is in the interest of the two brotherly countries and peoples, and in a manner that also supports the bonds of Arab solidarity.
