President Abdel Fattah El Sisi held a meeting with a number of media figures and anchors on the sidelines of his inspection tour in Toshka, Aswan, on Thursday, discussing various domestic and global topics and answering their queries.
"After his Toshka inspection tour early this morning (Thursday) President Sisi held a meeting with a number of media personalities," said Presidency Spokesperson Bassam Rady.
Rady added that the meeting was an open dialogue, during which Sisi listened to questions and concerns about the main local and international issues to the public opinion, including the economic implications of the Russia-Ukraine crisis on Egypt as well as the impact it had on the increase in prices.
The meeting also tackled the state's strategy to address these repercussions among other challenges such as fighting terrorism and extremism and efforts to preserve the national identity and how the media and drama tackle these issues.
The dialogue also touched on the various dimensions of the population issue and the negative effects it has on development, as well as the state's strategy for economic reform. This is also in addition to covering a number of mega national projects, particularly Decent Life Initiative to develop the Egyptian countryside.
Among the media figures that attended the meeting, there were Sada El-Balad satellite channel's well-known anchors Ahmed Moussa and Mostafa Bakry.
