Egypt's President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi held a meeting to follow up on the executive position of a number of Engineering Authority’s projects across the republic, especially in roads, bridges, and construction sectors, in addition to the New Administrative Capital (NAC) projects.

During the meeting, the efforts to develop Nasser Institute for Research and Treatment were reviewed, through establishing new buildings, developing the existing basic buildings, creating new medical departments and specializations, increasing the number of hospital beds to 1,000, as well as increasing the number of surgical operating rooms,  kidney units, and service facilities, in cooperation with the Ministry of Health, according to Presidential spokesman Bassam Rady.

In this regard, Sisi directed to transform the institute into an integrated medical city, in addition to raising the efficiency of its infrastructure, depending on global consulting expertise in this field, stressing that the institute is one of the most important pillars of the health system in Egypt, the spokesman added.
