President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met today, Sunday, with Prime Minister Dr. Mustafa Madbouly, Assistant to the President of the Republic for National and Strategic Projects Eng. Sherif Ismail, Minister of Local Development Mahmoud Shaarawi, Minister of Trade and Industry Nevin Jamea, Governor of Damietta Dr. Manal Awad Mikhael, and Chairman of Damietta Furniture Company Osama Abdel Moneim Saleh.
“The meeting dealt with following up the latest developments in Damietta Furniture City, and developing the furniture industry in Egypt,” presidential spokesperson Bassam Rady said.
The President concerned officials directed to provide all production requirements such as raw materials, wood, machinery and modern equipment for Damietta Furniture City to become an integrated and specialized center in the furniture industry within an institutional framework organized according to the most advanced international designs and production lines.
In this context, the president was briefed on Damietta Governorate's action plan to develop its furniture industry, the current situation of Damietta Furniture City and its industrial zone, in addition to a complex of complementary industries, and workshops of various types and sizes.
