Sisi Directs Promotion of Traditional Handicrafts

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on Sunday ordered the continued promotion of traditional handicrafts in all governorates, particularly in light of the state's plan to support small industries.

Presidential spokesman Bassam Radi said in a statement on Sunday that Sisi's comments came during a meeting with Governor of Monufia Saeed Abbas.

The spokesman added that the meeting dealt with efforts to develop traditional handicrafts in Monufia through benefiting from different experiences in this sector and organizing multiple exhibitions.

The spokesman pointed out that President El Sisi ordered the implementation of all plans and projects related to traditional handicrafts, in addition to focusing on vocational training and providing the necessary infrastructure and the adoption of the latest marketing methods in this sector.
