President Abdel Fattah El Sisi urged on Tuesday the government to directly communicate with citizens, who are covered as part of the first phase of the national project to develop villages nationwide under the umbrella of the Decent Life Initiative.
Sisi's directives came during his meeting with Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli, Planning Minister Hala el Saeed, Finance Minister Mohamed Maait, Local Development Minister Mahmoud Sharawi, Housing Minister Assem el Gazzar, Social Solidarity Minister Nevin Al Qabbaj, and Presidential Adviser for Financial Affairs Mohamed Amin, Presidential Spokesman Bassam Rady said.
The first phase of the project includes 1,500 villages.
Rady pointed out that President Sisi's instructions aim to follow up the situation on the ground and get acquainted with the citizens' needs and opinions about the development of their districts.
Sisi urged that the project would include organizing the administrative distribution of government services in the targeted districts and villages in a modern way to be electronically linked with the ministries in the New Administrative Capital.
The meeting reviewed the details of the executive steps of the project's first stage aiming to upgrade 1,500 villages across the country.
The development process targets improving the infrastructure in these villages as well as services.
