President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi directed on Tuesday to affiliate the community of Marina resort in Egypt's North Coast within the scope of the new city of El Alamein.
This came during President Sisi’s meeting on Tuesday, at the headquarters of the Presidency in El Alamein, with Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly and Cabinet members.
The development project of the North Coast also includes El-Dabaa nuclear plant project, Alamein International Airport, Ras Al-Hikma city, as well as touristic resorts extending to Matrouh Governorate.
The New Alamein is witnessing undergoing projects, including the City of Arts and Culture, Alamein International University (AIU), the Arab Academy For Science, Technology & Maritime Transport and a tourist walkway on the corniche with a length of 14 km, as well as a central area.
The new city will also include various residential areas, a series of towers, which is expected to accommodate about 2 million people on an area of 50,000 feddans.
