On Tuesday, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi received a telephone conversation from his Cypriot counterpart Nicos Anastasiades.
During the talks, the two presidents discussed all ways of promoting bilateral relations in various fields, in addition to a raft of regional issues and means of, Egyptian Presidential Spokesman Bassam Rady said.
Anastasiades expressed his keenness on coordinating with Sisi on regional issues of mutual concern.
On his part, Sisi said that Egypt is looking forward to cooperating with Cyprus in the fields of security, defense, economy and energy.
The talks also tackled ways to coordinate efforts with Egypt as a major partner of the European Union in the field of combating terrorism, extremism and illegal migration.
