President Abdel Fattah El Sisi sent, on Wednesday, a cable of congratulations to His Highness Prince Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah on the occasion of swearing-in as Kuwait’s new Emir.
“The president expressed, in his name and the name of the people and government of Egypt, the best wishes for success to Sheikh Nawaf Al-Sabah in completing the efforts of construction and the development process achieved by the late Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah,” said Presidency Spokesperson Bassam Rady.

Moreover, Sisi also affirmed the strength of the extended fraternal ties between the two countries and looked forward to more fruitful cooperation existing between Cairo and Kuwait for the benefit of the two brotherly peoples and to serve the causes of the Arab and Islamic nations.
“The Egyptian president wishes progress, peace, and prosperity to Kuwait and its people,” Rady added.
It’s noteworthy that Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmed al-Sabah died at the age of 91 in the US on Thursday. Hence, Egypt declared a three-day mourning state.
