Sisi Congratulates Djibouti’s President on Re-election

​President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi held a phone call, on Sunday, with Djibouti President Ismail Omar Guelleh.

​Mohamed El-Shennawy, Official Presidential Spokesman , stated that President Sisi extended his sincere congratulations to the Djiboutian President on his victory in the presidential elections held in April.

Moreover, Sisi emphasized that this win reflects the deep-rooted confidence of the brotherly Djiboutian people in his wise leadership and his tireless efforts to achieve development and prosperity for the country.

​Furthermore, he expressed Egypt's aspiration to continue joint work with Djibouti to strengthen the fraternal bonds between the two nations and advance the existing strategic partnership across various sectors. This includes intensifying consultation and coordination on regional issues of mutual concern.

​For his part, Guelleh expressed his appreciation for President El-Sisi's congratulations, affirming the depth of the fraternal and strategic ties linking Egypt and Djibouti.

He also praised the continuous momentum and development in bilateral relations and stressed the importance of further enhancing cooperation in all areas of common interest.
