Sisi Confirms Keenness to Strengthen Strategic Partnership with US

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi affirmed Egypt's keenness to strengthen the strategic partnership with the United States.

Sisi confirmed keenness to intensify existing cooperation and coordination between the two countries in various fields, especially military and security, in light of the importance of this in supporting efforts to restore security and stability and consolidate peace in the Middle East region.

This came during President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi's reception of Lloyd Austin, Secretary of Defence of the United States of America and his accompanying delegation.

The meeting was attended by the Lieutenant General Mohamed Zaki, Minister of Defence and Military Production, and Daniel Rubinstein, Charge d'Affaires of the US Embassy in Cairo.

On his part, the US Secretary of Defence expressed his country's high appreciation for the Egyptian leadership and the important role of Egypt in the Middle East as a rational and responsible stabilizing force.

He confirmed the United States' keenness to continue advancing and developing strategic cooperation and partnership with Egypt, especially in the field of defence cooperation, which represents the main pillar of relations between the two countries.
