Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi has cast his ballot, Saturday, in the House of Representatives elections, according to Presidency Spokesperson Bassam Rady.
"President Sisi cast his vote this morning in the House of Representatives elections, at the Martyr Mostafa Yousry Abu Omaira School in Heliopolis," Rady said.
Egyptians headed to cast their vote at ballot stations, early on Saturday, amid tight security and precautionary measures because of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).
The vote is set to take place in 13 governorates on Saturday and Sunday: Cairo, Qalyubia, Menoufia, Dakahlia, Gharbia, Kafr El Sheikh, Sharqia, Damietta, Port Said, Ismailia, Suez, North Sinai and South Sinai.
Polling stations will remain open from 9:00 to 21:00 local time on both days.
