President Abdel Fattah El Sisi discussed, Sunday, with Ali Al-Moselhy, Minister of Supply and Internal Trade the situation of the strategic stock of basic food commodities during the next six months.
The meeting was also attended by Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly.
“Sisi was briefed about the government's efforts to all commodities to citizens, as well as efforts to establish and raise the efficiency of strategic silos and stores nationwide,” said Presidency Spokesperson Bassam Rady.

Sisi called for developing the bakery system nationwide, by automating the work cycle and modernizing logistical processes, with the aim of improving product quality, reducing waste, and developing service to citizens.
In this regard, the Egyptian president directed the Ministry of Supply to continue adopting a plan to enhance efforts to provide basic commodities adopted during the time of the novel coronavirus pandemic.
He also urged to select the best sites for silos in terms of their proximity to roads, hubs, and distribution outlets to facilitate their task in storing strategic goods, taking into account the modern infrastructure that Egypt enjoys.
