President Abdel Fattah El Sisi met with the Speaker of the Bahraini Council of Representatives, Fawzia Zeinal on Thursday at Ettahadiya Presidential Palace and discussed Egyptian-Bahraini relations, according to Presidency Spokesperson Bassam Rady.
"The meeting was attended by the Speaker of Egypt's House of Representatives, Chancellor Hanafy El Gebali, and the Bahraini Ambassador in Cairo, Hisham Al-Jowder," said Rady.
On his part، President Sisi welcomed the Speaker of the Bahraini Council of Representatives and asked for his greeting to be conveyed to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
The President lauded the special and solid Egyptian-Bahraini relations as well as alignment in views regarding all issues.
The President confirmed Egypt’s keenness to further develop close and distinct cooperation between the two countries at various levels and affirmed Egypt’s position and commitment towards preserving the Gulf security.
The Speaker of Bahrain’s Council of Representatives conveyed to President Sisi the greetings of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and affirmed the pride of the Bahraini government and people for the strong historical bonds and close relations with Egypt and its people in various fields.
In this regard, she lauded Egypt’s developmental achievements across Egypt, which embrace the ancient civilization that Egypt boasts in every corner and reflect the wise leadership and insightful vision of President Sisi.
The Bahraini Speaker of the Council of Representatives also lauded Egypt's pivotal role in the region, as a cornerstone for the security and stability of the Arab world, stressing that the strength of Egypt and Arab countries is integral.
She praised Egypt's keenness to strengthen solidarity among Arab countries and advance joint Arab action.
The meeting touched on means to strengthen relations between the two countries in all fields, particularly at the parliamentary level, in addition to regional developments.
