President Abdel Fattah El Sisi held a meeting this morning, Wednesday, in the Bahraini capital, Manama, with His Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and Prime Minister of Bahrain.
"Sisi stressed the distinguished close relations between Cairo and Manama and what unites them in a single destiny and future," said Presidency Spokesperson Bassam Rady.
He also expressed Egypt's keenness to develop close and distinguished cooperation with Bahrain in various fields of bilateral cooperation, and for the interest of the two brotherly peoples, in addition to close coordination with Manama towards developments in the Middle East, in light of what Egyptian-Bahraini cooperation and coordination represent as a mainstay for achieving regional stability.
On his part, His Highness the Bahraini Crown Prince welcomed the president, stressing the appreciation and affection that the Kingdom of Bahrain has for Egypt, the leadership and people, in light of the depth and strength of the deep-rooted historical relations and ties that unite the two countries.
He also lauded the important role of the Egyptian community in the construction and development process in Bahrain as a bridge of interdependence between the two peoples. Therefore, the Bahraini side was keen to enhance cooperation with Egypt at all levels, and periodically consult and coordinate with it on various issues.
Sisi and Prince Salman agreed during the meeting to enhance the pace of exchange of high-level visits between the two countries with the aim of supporting economic, investment and trade relations between Egypt and Bahrain.
