President Abdel Fattah El Sisi returned home earlier Tuesday after wrapping up a three-day official visit to Niger.
“El Sisi arrived in Cairo earlier Tuesday, after chairing the activities of African Union (AU) exceptional summit as well as the mini coordinating summit between AU and regional economic groups in Niger,” Presidency spokesman Bassam Radi said.
Noteworthy, during Niger summit, Egypt’s head of state announced the launching of African Continental Trade Agreement (AfCFTA) operational phase.
The summit was attended by around 4,500 delegates and guests, including 32 heads of state and more than 100 ministers.
