President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received Austrian Chancellor Karl Nehammer at the Federal Palace, on the sidelines of the Egyptian-European Summit.
The two sides discussed ways to enhance bilateral relations in various fields, including economic cooperation and combating terrorism. They also discussed the situation in the Gaza Strip.
In this regard, Sisi reviewed Egyptian efforts to achieve a ceasefire in light of the the current catastrophic humanitarian crisis, stressing the importance of implementing the two-state solution to ensure the restoration of security and stability in the region.
