President Abdel Fattah El Sisi affirmed Egypt's full support to Sudan in all fields based on the close links between the Egyptian and Sudanese national security and the historic ties between the two nations.
"Sisi was speaking on Saturday during a phone call which he received from Chairman of the Sudanese Transitional Military Council Abdel Fattah Al Burhan," Presidential Spokesman Bassam Rady said.
The phone call touched on aspects of bilateral cooperation and regional developments of common interest.
The two leaders agreed on continuing intensive coordination and consultation in the coming period.
During the call, Sisi greeted Burhan on the country's Independence Day.
Meanwhile, Burhan lauded the efforts exerted to develop the cooperation ties between the two countries as well as Egypt's unceasing support in different events to maintain Sudan's stability and safety.
