President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi arrived on Sunday in Doha, to attend the opening ceremony of the FIFA World Cup.
Upon his arrival at Doha International Airport, President Sisi was received by Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Thani, Deputy Qatar's Emir.
Presidential Spokesman Bassam Rady said that Sisi's participation in this global sporting event comes in response to the invitation of Qatari Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, in light of the close fraternal relations between Egypt and Qatar.
