President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi said that 35 million citizens are targeted for vaccination against coronavirus, stressing that the financing for these vaccines is available.

He added during a call-in with the “Al-Hekaya” program with Amr Adib on Saturday that the first to receive vaccination are medical teams, people underlying conditions that put them at greater risk of severe illness and the elderly, pointing out that the issue of vaccination is very important to confront the pandemic.

Sisi stressed the need to reassure people of the state's plans to confront the pandemic, indicating the state's ability to control and tackle the virus.

He pointed out that the state has finished vaccinating medical teams and continues to complete the vaccination plans for the first groups.

He denied rumors that citizens do not want to be vaccinated, as the volume of the currently registered request for the vaccine ranges from 40 to 50% of the targeted groups.
