Simpsons Episode Predicted Ukraine-Russia Conflict in 1998 Trends

Twitter users are still fascinated by the iconic US animated show The Simpsons as they recalled an episode that predicted the conflict over Ukraine between Russia and the United States.

Aired in 1998, the old showed the return of the Soviet Union once again, and a new cold war when Boris Yeltsin played the role of the president and Homer Simpson joined the Navy and gets into a shooting match with a Russian submarine.

The footage that was widely shared by users on Twitter also depicted the Russian ambassador to the United Nations revealing that the collapse of the Soviet Union was just cheating the US.

Lenin is seen breaking out of a glass coffin and asserting that he “must crush capitalism."

It is not the first time that The Simpsons linked to political situations as the series audience shared that the series predicted the riots of the Capitol, and Trump's victory in the 2016 Presidential elections.
