Hungarian Foreign Affairs and Trade Minister Peter Siarto said on Tuesday that his country delivered 259 railcars to Cairo.
In a joint press conference with Egypt's Foreign Minister (FM) Sameh Shoukry, Siarto pointed out that Hungary seeks to boost economic cooperation with Egypt.
He added that Hungarian companies are working to build huge water pumps in Sinai, noting that Hungary will benefit from the Egyptian gas after establishing the new gas pipeline to Greece.
The Hungarian minister appreciated Egypt's key role in stopping illegal immigration to Europe, explaining that 6 years ago, Egypt closed its beaches to prevent illegal immigration to the European continent.
Siarto added that his country is negotiating with Cairo to deliver liquid gas to Hungary at a reasonable price.
