Egyptian Foreign Minister, Sameh Shoukry, is visiting Geneva on a mission to consult with various international organizations and bodies on bilateral cooperation, regional and global issues.
According to Ahmed Abu Zeid, the official spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Shoukry will meet with key officials, including Martin Griffith, the UN Deputy Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs, Filippo Grandi, the UN High Commissioner for Refugees, Volker Turk, the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, and Amy Pope, the Director-General of the International Organization for Migration.
The discussions will focus on enhancing cooperation programs, coordinating efforts on regional and global developments, and providing humanitarian support to the Sudanese people affected by the crisis.
Shoukry will also confer with the UN Special Envoy to Syria, Geir Pedersen, to explore ways to end the Syrian crisis and alleviate the suffering of its people.
