Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry is set to head for the Burundian capital of Bujumbura on Tuesday, embarking on an African tour.
"The tour will take Shoukry to South Africa, Tanzania, DR Congo, South Sudan, Niger, and Rwanda," the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
The top diplomat will hand over messages from President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to the leaders of the above-mentioned countries.
Earlier, the foreign minister embarked on seven-nation tour in the Arab world, including Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Kuwait, Oman, Bahrain and the UAE.
He handed over a message from President Sisi to the Arab leaders over the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD).
