Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry will travel later today to the Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa, to represent Egypt in the meetings of the 35th session of the African Union Summit (AU), which will be held on Saturday, and will last for two days.
The summit addresses various issues and topics on the continental arena, including the state of peace and security on the continent, facing the repercussions of the coronavirus pandemic, climate change, economic integration and continental integration.
Ahmed Hafez, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stated that the Foreign Minister is also scheduled to meet on the sidelines of his participation with a number of his African counterparts to discuss aspects of cooperation and ways to strengthen bilateral relations, in addition to exchanging views on issues of common concern.
