Shoukry: Serbian FM, President Sisi Discussed Challenges Facing Region

Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry welcomed on Sunday his Serbian counterpart, who met this morning, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, noting that the challenges facing the Middle East region were addressed, and they focused on strengthening relations between Egypt and Serbia.

In a joint press conference with Serbian Foreign Minister Nikola Silakovic, Shoukry indicated that a joint economic committee, chaired by the two countries foreign ministers, is being held, explaining that the Serbian minister will meet Sheikh Al-Azhar, and Pope Tawadros and will visit the Museum of Civilization and the Administrative Capital.

Serbian Foreign Minister Nikola Silakovic confirmed that his visit to Egypt is the first after assuming his position, pointing out that he conveyed a message from the Serbian president during the meeting that took place this morning, explaining that relations between Egypt and Serbia are strong. He pointed out that there is an effort to deepen bilateral relations at various levels in many fields.
