Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry received, on Sunday, Børge Brende, the President of the World Economic Forum, on the sidelines of the activities of the first day of the Climate Conference, spokesperson for the Foreign Ministry, Ambassador Ahmed Abu Zeid revealed on Twitter.

The spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that there are many activities of the forum during  the Climate Change Conference, pointing out to Brende's keenness to inform Minister Shoukry of them with the aim of making the conference a successful one and achieving the goals of international climate action.

Noteworthy, Egypt hosts the Cop27 Climate Summit in Sharm El-Sheikh, from November 6 to 18 , which is considered the largest and most important summit in the world, to discuss the fate of the planet and save it from deterioration and collapse as a result of the devastating effects of climate change.

120 state leaders, representatives from about 197 countries, nearly 40,000 participants from around the world, and dozens of international and regional organizations are in Egypt to participate in the annual negotiations on Climate change, with the aim of discussing limiting the negative effects of climate change and adapting to its repercussions. The summit also enjoys extensive global media coverage with the presence of more than 3,000 media professionals.
