Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry had a phone call with his Israeli counterpart Yair Lapid in which they discussed Israel-Palestinian Negotiations, Foreign Ministry said Sunday.
"Shoukry stressed the necessity to revive a negotiating process between the Palestinian and Israeli sides," said Ahmed Hafez, the official spokesman for the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Moreover, the Egyptian official also affirmed that "Egypt is continuing its constant efforts in this regard."
During his phone conversation with Lapid, the Egyptian Minister highlighted Egypt's vital role in providing aid and development support to all the Palestinian lands in cooperation with the Palestinian Authority.
In July, he met with Lapid and voiced his country's aspiration that the Israeli government refrain from any measures that may raise tensions with the Palestinians.
