On Tuesday, Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry received his Palestinian counterpart Riyad Al Maliki, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on Twitter.
The spokesperson of the ministry said that Egypt always stands firm in defending the rights of the Palestinian people, the statements came on the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People.
He added that Egypt asserted its presence in all international acts, and world occasions for supporting the Palestinian people for their call for their right in establishing an independent country.
Egypt's people and government back Palestine as a central issue for the Arab world, asserting that the Egyptian situation won't be changed and its commitment towards the Palestinian people, Jerusalem, and Al Aqsa Mosque is constant.
In addition, Egypt will exert no effort for helping the Palestinian people until getting their rights.
Therefore, Egypt called for the importance of stopping all forms of violence against Palestine, and any mono actions that negatively impact the application of any final solutions for the crisis such as illegal settlements, firing Palestinians from their homes, changing the demographic nature of the city, and the actions around the Al-Aqsa mosque and its area.
In addition, Egypt is encouraging all parties to the negotiation table.
