Shoukry Meets His Qatari Counterpart in Doha for Talks over Regional Files

On Monday,  Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry held a meeting with the Qatar Deputy Premier and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohamed ben Abdul Rahman al Thani at the Qatari Foreign Ministry in Doha.

Both officials started a round of official talks attended by delegations from the two countries, according to the Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ahmed Abdel Hafez.

During the meeting, they reviewed bilateral cooperation relations between the two brotherly countries, especially in the field of investment, and the exchange of support in international forums, in addition to the latest developments in the region, particularly the developments of the Palestinian Cause and the current situation in Libya.

The two sides stressed the importance of coordinating the regional efforts to reach solutions that guarantee the security and stability of the region and encourage joint cooperation.

During the meeting, Shoukry expressed Egypt's thanks to the State of Qatar for holding the emergency consultative meeting on the Renaissance Dam in Doha.

The Egyptian Foreign Minister commended the efforts of the State of Qatar through its chairmanship of the Ministerial Committee of the Arab League, wishing success to the Deputy Prime Minister in this regard and expressed his thanks to the State of Qatar for its care of the Egyptian community.

Meanwhile, the Deputy Prime Minister noted the positive developments in the relations between the two countries, stressing that these developments enhance the security and stability of the region.
