Ambassador Ahmed Abu Zeid, the official spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said that Minister of Foreign Affairs Sameh Shoukry will travel this evening to the UAE capital, Abu Dhabi, where he will participate in the activities of the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week summit as a keynote speaker in the tomorrow's session which will address the outcomes of the COP27 conference, held in Egypt last November.
Shoukry will shed light during the event on the important and balanced results of the COP27 conference that contribute to strengthening international climate action at various levels, and ways to build on them in the framework of preparing for the next session of the COP28 climate conference, which is scheduled to be hosted by the United Arab Emirates at the end of the current year.
Shoukry is also scheduled to meet, on the sidelines of the event, with his counterparts and senior officials concerned with international climate action, to consult and exchange views on climate change issues.
