Shoukry Heads to Saudi Arabia's Riyadh

Egypt's Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ahmed AO Zeid said Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry will travel this evening, Wednesday, to Saudi Arab's capital, Riyadh. In Riyadh, Shoukry will participate in the meeting of the Follow-up and Political Consultation Committee between Egypt and Saudi Arabia at the level of foreign ministers.

It is scheduled to be held on Thursday, the 12th of this month, in the Saudi capital.

Abu Zeid added that the regular convening of the Egyptian-Saudi Political Consultation Committee reflects the readiness of the Egyptian and Saudi sides to coordinate and continuously consult on various issues on the regional and intemational arenas, especially on those affecting the interests of the two countries and the Arab countries, and in connection with their continuous efforts to enhance Arab solidarity in the face of current challenges

The spokesperson revealed that this is the fifth round of the meeting of the follow up and political consultation committee between the foreign ministries of the two countries. which was established according to the memorandum of understanding signed between Egypt and Sandi Arabia in Cairo in 2007
