Ambassador Ahmed Abu Zeid, the official spokesman for the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said that Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry headed to the French capital, Paris, on Friday morning, at the invitation of French President Emmanuel Macron, to participate in a ministerial meeting that includes the foreign ministers of Qatar, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE and the French President.
Ambassador Abu Zeid explained that the visit comes within the framework of the French side’s keenness to communicate and coordinate with the Arab ministers to push for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, and to discuss ways to end the humanitarian crisis and ensure the flow of aid to the residents of the Strip, in addition to discussing international and regional efforts to find a serious political horizon to end this crisis and support the implementation of the two-state solution.
