Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry headed to the German city of Bonn, to visit the headquarters of the Executive Secretariat of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).
“Minister Shoukry is scheduled to visit the headquarters of the executive secretariat and hold meetings with its officials,” Ahmed Hafez, Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Egypt, said.
This comes in the framework of the ongoing preparations for Egypt's hosting of the 27th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP 27) to the UNFCCC.
Hafez also highlighted the coordination for the success of the next session of the COP27 conference in Egypt, by building on what was achieved during the last session of the conference in Glasgow.
Moreover, he underscored the international efforts concerned with confronting climate change to adapt to its negative repercussions.
The minister has previously pointed out that Egypt will adopt a comprehensive approach, taking into account the concerns and priorities of the various parties.
