Sameh Shoukry, Minister of Foreign Affairs, received phone calls on November 5 from Dr. Vivian Balakrishnan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Singapore, and Luminita Odobescu, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Romania, about the ongoing war in Gaza, Ambassador Ahmed Abu Zeid, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.
The official spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs explained that Shoukry reviewed with his counterparts the Egyptian vision and efforts regarding resolving the critical humanitarian and security situation in the Gaza Strip, stressing the inevitability of achieving an immediate and comprehensive ceasefire without restrictions or conditions.
Ambassador Abu Zeid added that Shoukry talks with his Singaporean counterpart focused on the tragic humanitarian conditions in the Gaza Strip, and the humanitarian shock that everyone is feeling as the death toll exceeded nine thousand and seven hundred.
The official spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs added that the Minister of Foreign Affairs stressed in his call with the Romanian Foreign Minister the need for the implementation of an immediate humanitarian truce to put an end to the tragic humanitarian situation that the Palestinian people are going through in the Gaza Strip.
The two officials praised Egypt's efforts to reduce the escalation and deliver humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip.
