A shooting took place in the city of Norfolk, southeastern Virginia, on Friday night, injuring four children.

Meanwhile, police in Virginia are investigating the incident.

A Virginian pilot reported that a 6-year old girl was taken to a hospital with serious injuries.

However, the police affirmed in a statement that she is in a stable condition.

The police added that the other three teens — a 14-year-old boy, a 16-year-old girl, and a 16-year-old boy — were shot.

Accordingly, they were taken to a local hospital for treatment with injures that are not considered life-threatening.

Norfolk Police Chief Larry Boone revealed that there is one suspect in connection with the shooting, but he did not say whether that person is in custody.

Moreover, Boone stated that police are interviewing multiple witnesses.
