Zamalek's star Mahmoud Abdel Razek "Shikabala" featured in Zamalek's starting eleven for Generation Foot Clash in the CAF Champions League.
Zamalek are set to face the Senegalese team at Borg Al Arab stadium later on Sunday, but Generation Foot's management is refusing to head to the stadium.
The White Knights' head coach Milutin Sredojević “Micho” decided to start the game with two forwards Mostafa Mohamed and Khaled Boutayeb, alongside Shikabala.
The White Knights need to rebound back home or they will risk exited the CAF Champions League from the 32 knockout stages because they suffered a 2-1 defeat in the away game by Generation Foot.
The Senegalese club issued an official statement announcing the possibility of returning home without playing today’s game
The statement also added that the Senegalese sent a another letter confirming that Zamalek’s request to postpone the match for security reasons is completely untrue as everything is fine.
CAF agreed to move the match to Alexandria, but stipulated that the Whites shall pay the cost of the Senegalese’s team stay at the coastal city.
