Senegalese club Generation Foot issued an official statement announcing the possibility of returning home without playing today’s game against Zamalek in the second leg of the CAF Champions League round of 32.

These remarks came after the CAF approved the Cairo Giants’ request to change the venue of the clash to Alexandria, 220 km from Cairo.

The statement also added that the Senegalese sent a another letter confirming that Zamalek’s request to postpone the match for security reasons is completely untrue as everything is fine.

The Whites were due to host the Senegalese side at Cairo's Petro Sport Stadium on Saturday, but the match was moved to Alexandria's Borg El-Arab Stadium a day later for claimed security reasons presented by Zamalek in an official letter to CAF.

CAF agreed to move the match to Alexandria, but stipulated that the Whites shall pay the cost of the Senegalese’s team stay at the coastal city.

Generation Foot went to Petrosport stadium on Saturday but they were banned from entry by the stadium's officials.

Zamalek were defeated a 2-1 away in the first leg on 14 October.

The five-time Champions League winners Zamalek just need to win 1-0 in the return match against Generation Foot to book a place in the group stage.

"Zamalek is not part of the crisis as the Confederation of the African Football, who told us about the game's date and venue," Zamalek’s President said.

In case of the withdrawal of the Senegalese team, the referee will announce Zamalek as winner of the game as well as qualifying for the African Champions’ League group stage.
