British-founded auction house Sotheby’s will hold a charitable auction, titled "To Beirut with Love" to raise funds for Beirut, following a deadly explosion, on August 4.
Sotheby’s partnered with two nonprofit organizations, Creatives for Lebanon and Art for Beirut to raise the funds
The auction will run from Dec. 7-15, featuring a handful of extraordinary items, including a custom Elie Saab dress, worn by award-winning actor Emma Stone on the Oscars red carpet in 2015.
The star of the auction will be Stone's breathtaking custom-made beaded chartreuse gown, which features guipure and sequin embroidery.
The gown is estimated to be sold between £20,000 to £30,000 ($26,700 to $40,025).
The auction also features dresses donated by Middle Eastern icons, including a silk haute couture gown designed for Egyptian actress Sherihan for her Thousand and One Nights Fawazeer show in 1987.
It will also feature remarkable fashion items such as singer Madonna‘s matador-inspired outfit created by Lebanese designer Nicolas Jebran, Geri Halliwell’s sequinned number worn in the music video for the Spice Girl‘s debut single Wannabe, and unique sky-blue embellished dress from the collection of Lebanese soprano Majida El Roumi.
British supermodel Naomi Campbell has also donated one of her favorite portraits, a photo of herself taken by photographers Rocco Lapasta and Charles DeCaro, which is estimated to sell for £3,000 to £5,000 ($4,000 to $6,671).
