Sheikh Meshal Al Ahmad Al Sabah to Swear-In As Kuwait's New Emir

Sheikh Meshal Al Ahmad Al Sabah will be sworn in as Kuwait's new emir, on Wednesday, in front of the Kuwaiti Parliament (the Nation's House).

On Saturday, the Kuwaiti cabinet called Sheikh Meshal Al Ahmad Al Sabah, the crown prince, as the new Emir of Kuwait after the death of Sheikh Nawaf Al Ahmed Al Gaber Al Sabah.

In a post on X, the Kuwaiti cabinet declared calling the crown prince, Sheikh Mesheel Al Ahmed Al Sabah, as the new Emir of Kuwait.

The calls for the crown prince to become the new Emir were based on the constitutional codes of Kuwait that were dedicated to the inheritance of the Emiri crown.

The Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Nawaf Al Ahmad Al Sabah, passed away at the age of 86, Kuwaiti state TV announced on Saturday.
