"Shazam! Fury of the Gods" Wraps Filming

Production wrapped on “Shazam! Fury of the Gods”, the sequel to 2019's "Shazam".

Filmmaker David F. Sandberg, who returned to direct for the sequel, announced Wednesday the news on Twitter.

The production went through just about the whole summer, as cameras began rolling in late May.

The sequel sees practically the entire team behind  “Shazam!” reprising their roles, including stars Asher Angel, Zachary Levi, Djimon Hounsou, and Jack Dylan Grazer.

It also stars Faithe Herman, Ian Chen, Grace Fulton, Jovan Armand, Meagan Good, Ross Butler, and D.J. Cotrona.

Helen Mirren, Lucy Liu, and Rachel Zegler will also star in the sequel.

The movie is also penned by Henry Gayden, who wrote the original movie.

“Shazam! Fury of the Gods” is set to debut on June 2, 2023.
