Sharm El-Sheikh received on Thursday the first charter flight from Armenia, carrying 70 tourists, including 10 representatives of the Armenian media.
Today's flight comes within a framework of the resumption of flights between Egypt and Armenia as two flights per week will be operated in coordination with Air Cairo airlines, the Tourism and Antiquities Ministry said in a statement.
The Egyptian Tourism Authority (ETA)'s office in Sharm El-Sheikh welcomed the tourists and gave them gifts.

The Armenian representatives lauded the anti-coronavirus measures implemented at Sharm El-Sheikh International Airport, expressing their gratitude for the warm welcome.
They pointed out that they would write about their experience in Egypt to encourage the Armenians to travel here.

It is worth mentioning that Tourism and Antiquities Minister Khaled el Anany embarked on a visit to the Armenian capital of Yerevan before attending the 112th session of the World Tourism Organization Executive Council Meeting in Tbilisi.
