Sharm El-Sheikh has been named one of the world’s top 22 travel destinations for November, according to a ranking published by the British newspaper The Times.
The recognition highlights the Red Sea resort city’s clear waters, sunny climate, and unique atmosphere during this time of year, reaffirming its position as one of Egypt’s premier tourist hubs.
Tourism officials noted that hotel occupancy rates in Sharm El-Sheikh are experiencing a strong surge, with many establishments reporting near-full bookings. The government has been placing particular emphasis on boosting the tourism sector, with plans to expand hotel capacity not only in Sharm El-Sheikh but also in other governorates witnessing rising visitor demand.
According to official figures, Egypt welcomed around 10 million tourists in the first half of 2025, with projections suggesting the total could exceed 20 million by the end of the year. This would mark a strong recovery of the tourism industry, returning to pre-crisis levels after years of regional and global challenges.
Visitors to Sharm El-Sheikh have praised the destination’s lively atmosphere, pristine beaches, and diverse entertainment options, while European markets continue to provide a significant share of arrivals. At the same time, the city has seen a growing number of Arab tourists, who have expressed high satisfaction with their travel experience in Egypt.
