Sharm El-Sheikh Port received the cruise ship AROYA on Wednesday carrying 1,388 people of various nationalities, including 339 tourists and 1,049 crew members, as part of ongoing maritime tourism arrivals to the Red Sea resort city.
The arrival marks another step in the continued growth of cruise tourism to Sharm El-Sheikh, reinforcing the city’s position as a leading global tourism destination on the Red Sea.
According to port authorities, the vessel measures approximately 335 meters in length with a draft of 8.5 meters and sails under the Maltese flag. All navigational, security, and passport procedures were completed immediately upon arrival, allowing tourists to disembark efficiently and proceed to scheduled tourism programs across the city.
Officials confirmed that Sharm El-Sheikh Port remains fully prepared to accommodate large international cruise ships through an integrated operational system involving all relevant authorities and port agencies.
The coordinated effort aims to ensure smooth passenger movement and enhance the quality of services provided to visitors, supporting Egypt’s broader strategy to boost inbound tourism during the current season.
