Shakira Announces New Single "Don't Wait Up"

Lebanese-Colombian superstar Shakira announced Tuesday a new single “Don’t Wait Up”.

The superstar unveiled that she will be dropping a new single on July 16. She also shared a teaser video that depicts a heated text conversation.

Earlier in the week, she teased social media that she will release new music through posts of multi-hued pink branding and a mysterious pre-save link.

She shared later the cover art of the upcoming single on social media.

“Don’t Wait Up” marks the Latin icon’s first English-language single since 2016’s “Try Anything”.

The announcement didn’t come as a complete surprise. Shakira teased her fans with a new mysterious project back in March.

The Grammy Award-winning singer posted a photo of herself singing into a recording mic in front of a music stand and captioned: "Cooking something!".

She wrote the same message in Spanish: "Cocinando algo!".

The singer’s latest song is the music video “Girl Like Me” featuring the Black Eyed Peas.
