Journalist Amr Al Laithy's program “One of the People” broadcast on Wednesday, the second part from his interview with former actress, Shahira, the widow of veteran Egyptian actor, Mahmoud Yassin, which marked her first media appearance since his departure.
Shahira noted that she is ready to resume acting again after years of retirement, stating that she was offered scripts, which she refused due to being busy with Yassin.
She revealed that she had already received an offer good role a while ago, but she refuses any role due to the current circumstances of Coronavirus, noting her full readiness to make her comeback.
"I wish to present tackling people's issues and concerns," Shahira added.
The actress retired from acting in 1992 and wore the hijab, then made her return through programs aired on Iqraa TV in 1996.
