Shahira continued: "Our marriage lasted fifty years, and the secret to its success was mutual love. Mahmoud was polite and kind."

She noted that she met Yassin for the first time while working in the 1972 film "Sowar Mamnoaa".

"At the time, I was in the first year of the Higher Institute of Theatrical Art. We were attracted to each other and began our relationship, and after the end of film "Nahnu La Nazraa Al-Shok", he was in talks for film "Al Kheit Al Rafee" with Faten Hamama, so he asked me to marry him so that he would be completely dedicated to the film," Shahira added.
