Settlers Storm Al-Aqsa Amid Heightened Israeli Police Presence

Dozens of Israeli settlers stormed the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque on Wednesday, under the protection of Israeli occupation forces.

According to the Palestinian News Agency, the settlers entered in successive groups through the Moroccan Gate and performed Talmudic rituals within the mosque’s courtyards.

The Israeli police intensified their presence at the entrances to Al-Aqsa Mosque and around the Old City, obstructing the entry of Palestinian worshippers.

Since the beginning of the widespread Israeli aggression on Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank in October 2023, Israeli forces have tightened measures at the mosque’s gates and entry points to the Old City.

In 2024 alone, settler groups have stormed the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque 256 times.
